I seriously have some sort of sick fetish for luxury beauty items and I need rehab. But there’s something about the fact that I can’t always buy them that makes me want them even more, but you know the feeling right? Because we always want what we can’t have, and let’s not even begin to talk about this packaging! Because the hoarder in me can go on and on all day about how fantastic certain products store or even how cute they look on my vanity. And this particular product is no exception because Kjaer Weis’ packaging just might take the cake for the best packaging in the green beauty world EVER. I mean look at it, very luxe and just gorgeous. I feel ultra glam just plucking this out of my makeup bag so you seriously gotta love that.
Kjaer Weis’ Lip Tint in Romance is described as a “reddish pink” and I totally thought of RMS Beauty’s Lip Shine in Sacred when reading this. Yet, Sacred is a bit more intense and has a lot more shine initially than this product does. I’d say that this leans more on the pinky side on me rather than the reddish side yet it is not a watermelon toned pink like Sacred is. This is more like a subdued medium toned coraly salmon color, which makes for a my lips but much better pout on me.
I really love how this lip tint feels on my fingertips when using them to apply it yet I wish this feeling translated to my lips as well. It has a super smooth and buttery soft texture a lot like a lip balm on my fingers so I was expecting it to be super hydrating but its not although it is not drying either. On my lips I needed a bit more moisture so I apply my EOS lip balm first then dab it off prior to applying this lip tint and then viola! Kjaer Weis’ Romance is also slightly buildable as you can reach a pretty decent amount of color coverage but not one of entire opacity since it is still on the sheer side.
I’ve been head over heels for this lip tint lately because it is not super shiny yet still gives nice and even color. It’s not too out there yet it’s not too sheer either so I can definitely see myself incorporating this into my everyday makeup for school or work. I see this lip tint being apart of my everyday lip rotation and I’m definitely looking forward to trying out about ever other color they have!
